St Oswald's Hospice
Gosforth hospice providing free specialist palliative care for adults and children with life-limiting conditions across the North East.
About St Oswald's Hospice
St Oswald's Hospice has been based on Regent Avenue in Gosforth since 1986, providing specialist palliative care for adults, children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. Its services include an adult inpatient unit, a children's service, a young adults facility, day services, a specialist lymphoedema service and care in the community, all free to patients and families.
The hospice relies largely on charitable giving to fund its work, supported by hundreds of volunteers and a network of charity shops. Each January it runs its Christmas Tree-cycle scheme, collecting real Christmas trees from homes across most of Tyneside in return for a donation and taking them to be recycled.
