About Newcastle High School for Girls

Newcastle High School for Girls is an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 18, part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST). Its Senior School is on Tankerville Terrace in Jesmond, with the Junior School based at Sandyford Park nearby. The school offers education from the early years through to A-level within the GDST's national network of girls' schools. At its most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, it was found to meet the required standards across all areas and to exceed them by a considerable margin. It combines academic teaching with a broad programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities.
