About Jesmond Pool & Gym

Jesmond Pool & Gym is a community leisure centre in Jesmond run by Jesmond Community Leisure, an award-winning social enterprise operating as a charity since the pool reopened in 1992. Facilities include a swimming pool, two gyms, an activity room, and a sauna and steam room. The centre runs a full timetable of pool and gym sessions plus fitness classes, and offers structured swimming lessons following the national Learn to Swim programme for children and adults. As a not-for-profit run for the benefit of the local community, it provides an independent, neighbourhood alternative to the larger commercial clubs nearby, welcoming casual swimmers, members and learners alike throughout the week.
