First Class Learning Jesmond is a tuition centre offering maths, English and science programmes, based at St George's Church in Jesmond. It personalises each child's learning path through structured, worksheet-based programmes focused on the National Curriculum and designed around a "little and often" approach, with around 10 to 15 minutes of daily practice, and students move on only when they are confident with a topic, with regular testing to track progress. It is a flexible, low-pressure model that works alongside school rather than replacing it, suiting children who need extra support as well as those wanting to push ahead. The centre is managed by Deepa, who holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University, was shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowship in 2024, and is a STEM Ambassador. Sessions are held on Tuesday afternoons and priced per child, per subject, per month, with parking available on site.
