The Cumberland Arms
Traditional Ouseburn pub with serious beer credentials — seven real ale hand pulls, award-winning cider selection, and live folk music most evenings. Spectacular herb garden with valley views.
About The Cumberland Arms
The Cumberland Arms is a traditional pub on James Place Street in Newcastle's Ouseburn Valley, overlooking the Ouseburn. It has strong real-ale credentials, with seven cask hand pulls and four keg lines rotating beers from North East and independent breweries, plus an award-winning, ever-changing range of ciders, perries and pyders served straight from the tap. The pub is one of the homes of folk music in Newcastle, hosting traditional music and singing sessions in the back bar most nights, while its upstairs room stages live music, comedy, poetry and theatre. A spacious beer garden overlooks the valley. It is open daily from noon.
