Lughnasadh at The Cumberland Arms
A free celebration of Lughnasadh, the Gaelic harvest festival, at The Cumberland Arms.
About This Event
Lughnasadh (pronounced roughly "loo-nassa") is the old Gaelic festival marking the start of the harvest, one of the four seasonal cross-quarter days, and the Cumberland Arms — a pub with deep roots in traditional music and folk custom — marks it with a free gathering in Ouseburn. The Cumberland Arms sits above the Ouseburn Valley with a hillside beer garden and a well-kept range of real ales, and it has long been a home for folk music, seasonal celebrations and community events. Entry is free; check the pub's listings for the running order on the night.
