An open, welcoming comedy night built around the FLINTA community, female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender performers, handing the microphone to voices too often left off the line-up. It is a supportive open-mic format where newcomers and seasoned acts alike can try new material in a room that is firmly on their side, so expect an evening as warm and generous as it is funny. It all unfolds at one of Newcastle's most characterful independent venues, long a home for live music, folk, comedy and grassroots performance above the Ouseburn Valley. Entry is free and the atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, the kind of night that captures exactly why this corner of Ouseburn has such a devoted following.
