Dick Valentine is the frontman of Detroit's Electric Six, the band behind the era-defining hits "Danger! High Voltage" and "Gay Bar". For this solo show he strips things back, performing acoustic renditions of Electric Six favourites alongside material drawn from his prolific run of solo albums. It is a very different proposition from the full-band spectacle, more intimate, more conversational, but the wit, showmanship and larger-than-life stage presence that made his name remain firmly intact. His solo acoustic tours have taken him around the world, trading arena bombast for a close-up setting where his songwriting and dry humour can take centre stage. Expect singalongs, storytelling and a set that spans both the hits and the deeper corners of his catalogue.
