About LOCAL NCL
LOCAL is a specialty coffee shop and off-licence at 18 Acorn Road in Jesmond, trading since 2021 and open every day from 8am to 5pm. Its house espresso uses Colombian El Eden beans roasted nearby by Northside in Morpeth, with rotating filter coffees from independent roasters such as Hard Lines, Crankhouse and 17 Grams, and retail beans available for grinding to order or nationwide shipping. Described as Jesmond's alternative off-licence, it also stocks more than 100 natural wines, craft beers from UK breweries including Full Circle, Wylam, Beak and Left Handed Giant, specialist spirits and canned cocktails, alongside gift cards and merchandise.
