The junior arm of Heaton Stannington FC and one of the fastest-growing grassroots football pathways in the North East, training and playing at Paddy Freeman's Park on the edge of Jesmond and High Heaton. Teams run from under-7s upwards, with girls' sides, an FA Youth Cup academy team and a Saturday morning football club.

About Heaton Stannington Juniors FC

Heaton Stannington Juniors FC is the youth section of the long-established Heaton Stannington club, launched in 2023 and grown from a handful of sides to more than a dozen teams coaching several hundred children within its first couple of seasons. It is based at Paddy Freeman's Park off Freeman Road, the closest large park football setting to Jesmond and High Heaton, where it runs open sessions, competitive age-group teams and a Saturday morning football club. Age groups span from under-7s through to under-18s, including girls' teams, and an academy under-18 side competes in the FA Youth Cup.

The club is built around a friendly, inclusive ethos, welcoming complete beginners as well as experienced young players, with a Fútbol Mundial Academy strand for the youngest children aged five to seven and holiday football camps through the school breaks. Teams play in local Northumberland youth leagues, and the club actively recruits new players and volunteer coaches each season. For Jesmond families, it is the main organised route into grassroots football within easy reach of the neighbourhood.
