About Di Meo's

Di Meo's makes award-winning Italian gelato to a secret family recipe that is over a century old, with the business dating back to 1918. Flavours include a traditional vanilla, pistachio made with pure Bronte pistachios from the slopes of Mount Etna, strawberry with a high fruit content, and passion fruit sorbetto, and the parlours also serve pizza and coffee. Several of its gelati have earned Great Taste Awards and gold at the National Ice Cream Competition. The riverside Ouseburn parlour sits within easy reach of Jesmond, and the family runs further locations on the North East coast, making it a long-standing name in local ice cream.
