The Snow Queen at Northern Stage
Northern Stage's Christmas show is a brand-new version of The Snow Queen, written by Laura Lindow and directed by artistic director Natalie Ibu.
About This Event
Northern Stage presents its major festive production for the winter season, a freshly written adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen. Penned by Laura Lindow and directed by the theatre's artistic director Natalie Ibu, the show promises original music and imaginative storytelling, following a journey from a tiny village all the way to the frozen realm of the Snow Queen herself. Staged in the venue's main auditorium, the production is recommended for ages five and over and runs for roughly two and a half hours including an interval. Performances continue across December and into the new year, with a mix of daytime and evening showings. A full programme of accessible performances is offered throughout the run, including audio-described, BSL-interpreted, captioned and relaxed shows. Tickets and detailed performance times are available via the Northern Stage box office and website.
