The Passion of Joan of Arc with live score
Silent-film classic screened with a live musical score at Star and Shadow Cinema.
About This Event
Star and Shadow Cinema hosts a screening of Carl Theodor Dreyer's 1928 silent masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc, accompanied by a live score performed by Burning Pyre for this Signals Presents evening. Dreyer's film, celebrated for its extraordinary close-ups and raw emotional intensity, is one of the most acclaimed works in cinema history. Paired with newly performed live music, it becomes an immersive, atmospheric experience of the kind the volunteer-run Star and Shadow does so well.
