Newcastle Mela celebrates its 30th anniversary over the August Bank Holiday weekend in Exhibition Park, making it one of the longest-running and most vibrant multicultural events in the North East. Up to 40,000 visitors are expected for two days of Pakistani, Bengali, Indian, and South Asian music, food, dance, and entertainment. The free, family-friendly festival is open to everyone, offering a packed programme of performances, craft stalls, and cuisine from across South Asia. A defining fixture of Newcastle's summer calendar.
