Jesmond Food Market lines the length of the historic Armstrong Bridge with independent producers, bakers, cheesemongers, hot street food and artisan makers from across the North East. Curated by Local Heroes NE, it has become a fixture of the Jesmond Dene weekend. The market runs from 10am to 3pm on the first and third Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Entry is free and it is an easy walk from Jesmond and West Jesmond Metro stations. The setting, overlooking the wooded Dene, makes it as much a place to browse and graze as to do a proper food shop.
