Thornhill Funeral Services is a small independent, family-run funeral director on Mistletoe Road in the heart of Jesmond. It is personally owned and run by Alexander Thornhill, a fully qualified funeral director and embalmer with more than 20 years' experience and a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the British Institute of Embalmers. As one of the few funeral directors based in Jesmond itself, it offers a genuinely local, personal service with a single, familiar point of contact throughout.

The firm arranges traditional and bespoke funerals as well as simple and direct cremations, publishes clear price lists, and guides families at their own pace through the choices involved — burial or cremation, the shape of the service and the costs. As always, it is fine to contact more than one funeral director and ask for a written estimate; because Thornhill is a small independent, arrangements are handled personally from start to finish.
