Jesmond Pool — Swimming and Mermaid Parties

Jesmond Pool on St George's Terrace is a community-run pool offering children's birthday parties. The standard pool party gives your group dedicated time in the water with floats and inflatables. For something different, their Mermaid Experience teaches children to swim with mono fins and tail skins — a genuinely unusual party that children remember. Pizza Dough Co — Pizza and Play

Pizza Dough Co at the Three Mile Inn (a short bus ride from Jesmond) offers a Pizza and Play package at £15 per child (minimum 5, maximum 20). Children make their own pizza, get unlimited squash, and spend an hour in The Playhouse soft play and sensory area. Suitable for children up to about 8. Jesmond Dene House — Private Dining

As You Like It — Frangipani Room

As You Like It on Osborne Road offers the Frangipani Room for larger celebrations, holding 130 to 220 guests with a private bar, outdoor patio, and dance floor. The minimum spend starts at £1,200 per session, making it better suited to teenage or milestone parties. Saturday nights book two to three months ahead. An 8-minute walk from Jesmond Metro.

Best for: Large-scale teenage parties, private bar and dance floor, late licence until 2am.

Holy Hobo — The Sanctuary

Holy Hobo on Osborne Road offers The Sanctuary, a semi-private area near the main bar and dance floor, from £6 per person. A more relaxed option for teenage birthday gatherings with pizzas, loaded burgers, and sharing platters. Craft beers and cocktails for the adults.

Jump 360 — Trampolining
